Very unhappy with quality. I have been in to the dealer probably 25 times. Had to beg for a loaner initially. Service people are friendly and pleasant. X5 is not built for Canadian winters - doors and locks freeze easily. Heated seat and steering wheel are great. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Poor quality.
Car has died on highway. Front ball joints replaced. Temperature control replaced. Doors freeze shut or can't be closed. Rear latch is flaky. Sunroof road noise is high. Windshield pump replaced. Seat-belt retraction mechanisms are sticky. Minimal cargo area - need a Thule roof rack. Other noise which dealer can't explain or fix. | | | Previous car: | None |
