BMW X5
| | Model of the car: | BMW X5 | | | General comments: | Beautiful vehicle that handles excellently. However, it suffers in cargo space, rear seat leg room and gas mileage (V8). | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | The ride is a little bouncy at times. The navigation system monitor is small (the lexus I just bought had a monitor that was twice as big) and extremely hard to use. It is ridiculous of BMW to ask a driver to pay so much money for such a difficult to use navigation system. The navigation system is not worth the 2K.
Probably the worst weakness of the X5 doesn't have to do with the SAV, but rather the service I received from Shelly BMW in Buena Park, CA. The service personnel there are extremely rude as well as horribly inefficient. They also lied to me when they made numerous mistakes on my brand new X5 (couldn't fix an electrical problem and the front-center arm rest. claimed that the park distance control was functioning perfectly when another dealership quickly determined that it was not), including denting it. After denting the car, they offered to install a "$700.00" product onto the car to make up for it. The manager was surprised to find out that I had the actual price of the accessory($395 grill guard) memorized and confronted it with him with their own magazine as proof! HORRIBLE DEALERSHIP! | | | Previous car: | None |
