| | Model of the car: | BMW X5 | | | General comments: | I posted on this vehicle a few months back so I thought I would follow up after having the vehicle a little longer. All I can say is the X5 is gone. I reported about the bugs in the vehicle earlier and it got worse. The thing must have been in the shop 15 times, no kidding. The dealer broke more things than they fixed. The main problem was the stalls (We had auto). It stalled twice, took it to the dealer and they "fixed it", then it stalled twice more. Too many little things and the dealer service sucks. I don't think we were the right demographic to own a Bimmer as I could tell when I went into the service area... no acknowledgement of my presence. Ultimately, my wife and I saw an oppurtunity to get out of the car so we took it. Someone bought it from us. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | TOO MANY FLAWS for a vehicle that costs this much. Thinking about getting one? Ask the dealer about the aux fan recalls. Also check out the message board at Bimmer.org. Lot of insight there. DEALER SERVICE SUCKS. BMW should shop the Lexus or Infinity dealer and learn a lesson. We bought a 98 LS400, the Lexus dealer service dept. is open 24-7 during the week and has been nothing short of superb. Although I must admit that I fell under the wrong demographics again at the Lexus dealer when I was looking around the lot for a car. No one came out to help me there either.
