| | Model of the car: | BMW X5 3.0 | | | General comments: | Great SUV, drives very similar to a decent sports car. Excellent performance from the 3.0. better with the 4.4. Very good braking, top notch steering, solid build quality.
The Acura MDX is also an excellent SUV for a lower price. I prefer the BMW due to tighter handling and ergonomics that I prefer.
Watch for some other fake reviews. My gas milleage is 21 highway, 17 city. Overall I'm getting 19.9 MPG. Other than the Acura, there is no other SUV that compares to the X5.
I'm not a big fan of the sports suspension, the stock X5 is plenty firm. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Slightly overpriced (compared to the Acrua MDX). Some options are overpriced and fairly useless (sports package, premium radio). Navigation system is weak (I didn't get it). The X5 has had problems with early run models, the 2002 appears to have the bugs worked out. | | | Previous car: | Acura MDX, Mercedes ML series, Toyota Highlander, Lexus RX 300. |
